The NexgenRx   management team has a proven track record in the Drug, Dental and Extended Health benefits industry as well as in financial, medical, pharmaceutical and technical fields.

Ronald C. Loucks – President and Chief Executive Officer, Director

Founded the NexgenRx™   Inc. in March 2003.

Ron has spent his entire career in the Canadian benefits industry including roles in sales, consulting and senior management capacities.

Former Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of, Assure Health Inc., from May 1989 through October 1999 and upon the sale of Assure Health Inc. to BCE Emergis Inc., he was the Executive Vice-President, e-Health North America, from November 1999 through February 2002.
Currently a member of the Board of Governors of McMaster University and serves on the Board of Directors of ThinkFirst Canada.

Thomas F. Corcoran, P.Eng., MBA, ICD.D – Director, Chairman of the Board

Tom is the former Vice President and Managing Director of Canada Life Assurance Company's Group Insurance business units in Canada (1997 to 2002) and the United Kingdom (2002 to 2004). Mr. Corcoran has served on a number of corporate boards and is currently the board Chair of NexgenRx Inc.; Board Chair Memotext Corporation; Director, ArtsandTV Inc.; Director LifeCapital Holdings Inc.. He is also the Chair of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) Ontario Chapter.
On the community service front, Mr. Corcoran serves as Chair, Health Professions Regulatory Advisory Council (Ontario). He has been Chairman of Bridgepoint Hospital; Chair of Bridgepoint Health Foundation; Chair, Crescent School; Governor, University of Waterloo; Chair, University of Waterloo President's Advisory Council; Chair, Ontario Chamber of Commerce; director, National Ballet of Canada
Charles Truax -  Head of Technology
  

Charles (Chuck) Truax has been a leader in the Information Technology for over 35 years having worked in all aspects of the sector. NexgenRx™   benefits from Chuck's broad experience which includes: banking (retail, commercial, and securities management), insurance, government, transportation, operations, product development, quality assurance, and product delivery.  He has managed the development, testing, and support of PC, mainframe, cooperative processing, client-server and WEB based application systems. He has successfully implemented systems that were large, complex, and geographically dispersed. 

 

 

Taba Merrikh, B.SC., B.A., MBA
Interim CFO
 
Taba brings to NexgenRx™   the experience of financial management roles in a number of industries with a strong general management background. She is a "hands on" financial executive and a great addition to the team.
 
 
 
 
Joseph C. Auger – Vice President, Operations
 
Over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry with some of Canada’s most prominent organizations including NexgenRx™  , Great West Life Assurance Company and Canada Life Assurance Company. 
 
 
 
Ronald Stubbington - Director, IT Operations

Over 25 years experience in the IT industry including roles in development, database management and systems management. Had a key role as the database and design architect of the NexgenRx™   Reporting and Back End processing systems.   

 

 

 

Christa Plumley, LLB, Corporate Secretary

Christa is NexgenRx™  's Corporate Secretary. Her legal background covered corporate, commercial and intellectual property law, especially as it pertains to the commercialization of information technology. She also advises on investment fund formation, technology development, licensing, reselling and distribution matters.

Christa has worked in a legal advisory capacity to companies in the health sciences venture capital, biotechnology and healthcare companies market sectors. Prior to that, Christa practiced at two major law firms where she was involved in matters ranging from complex technology transactions to developing a knowledge-based information system. Christa's broad exposure to the high technology environment is a real asset to NexgenRx™   Inc.

Dr. Lauren Milchman, B.Sc. (Hons.), DDS
Dental Consultant

  • Undergraduate school at McGill University and York University
  • Graduated dentistry with honours in 2004 from the University of Toronto
  • Practicing in Mississauga and various locum positions throughout Toronto

Margaret Ingram, B.Sc., R.Ph., M.H.P.
Manager, Pharmacy Services

  • 8 years Formulary Management experience with a leading Pharmacy Benefit Management company
  • 9 years as a staff pharmacist at McMaster Medical Centre in Hamilton
  • Sessional lecturer at Mohawk College Pharmacy Assistant program
  • Community pharmacy work in Canada and in Scotland
  • Extensive experience in pricing issues, employee education materials, retrospective reporting and implementing Trial, Maintenance and Prior Authorization programs
